Sorry for the delay, we had to go on vacation. Northern California, two days driving to get there and two days back. Oh I hate driving. lol We are glad to be home again. My mother in law had her 79th birthday. It was nice to be there for that. The weather was good, a little rainy but not bad.
I did have my first beer of the year! And a couple glasses of wine, it was a lot of fun. I made it to the 27th day of February, almost 2 months and I will continue to take it easy.
There is a t-shirt that says, something about I went on vacation and all I got was this t-shirt. We didn’t get a t-shirt but the nice apartment above the garage of my sister in laws, where we stayed (a very nice place). I found a man in the door. So I took this video. I have to work tomorrow, looks like we are getting busy. Have a great week…
How have you all been? Are you back to work yet? I haven’t worked at all this week. We do have a lot of work coming up, just waiting for the weather to warm up. Yesterday we had snow all day, today we don’t have a cloud in the sunny sky. However the high will only be about 36 degrees. It’s been a long cold wonderful winter. Many of our drivers are ready for it to be over.
Tucson AZ. getting busy. I just heard through the vine that Tucson is bidding jobs and gearing up for business like crazy. One of the boom pump operators from Phoenix said that they were getting 35 to 40 hours a week. He was happy with the outlook. I think we will be happy with the amount of work we have this summer. I have a buddy in west Phoenix and they are very slow at the moment but it looks like there will be work coming up.
I had to call in today, they said there are no orders. Nobody wants concrete today. Or all last week, one more day of Internet marketing. I am starting to get in to selling web sites, I haven’t been able to make anything happen with the ones I have put together. Maybe some one else can take them to the next level. Is anybody working these days? I am in northern Arizona and we are thinking that the weather has really slowed everything down. I know we have a half a dozen jobs coming up. The sales manager was just talking about them 2 to 3 weeks ago in a safety meeting. Some of the other drivers are getting a little concerned. I think one driver applied for unemployment.
Did everyone have a nice Valentines Day? Did anyone forget?:) I have done good staying off the beer, I was a little concerned with the super bowl and then the Daytona 500, (congratulations to Jamie McMurray). But I fixed diet root-beer and moved on. Today marks one and a half months, I will make it to the end of February! After that, well I’m not going to push it. Summer coming and all.
