Yeppers, We can draw unemployment if we want, "JOB ATTATCHED"! I would rather work, and keep that option open until I really need it! We will all keep a Grin, and hope for a GREAT summer! To me, there is no other trucking job more fun than pouring concrete period... And I am sure glad for this web site! We will all get a better view of how people are doing out there! Keep on GRINNING all! Be safe, and most of all, have fun!

10-4 Gary,
We just had another snow day today 2-22-10. Not sure when it will end, we haven't seen a winter like this in a long time. They keep saying we have a lot of work in the pipeline, just waiting for the weather to get better. You guys hang in there and just do the best you can. I hear that temporary unemployment is an option. However I wonder about getting called back, when and if at all. See ya!!

Today Feb 22nd 2010! Snow Day for us in Southern Colorado! HATE to lose a day of work, but thats the way it is. Poor economy here, and alot of drivers at home until spring, I hope. Not much work for anybody here, but when it hits, it hits. Belt driver is what I am so am lucky to be getting the hours I am. Any other belt drivers out there? Any needed? Good luck in this economy to all!

Yeah, I work with a bunch of damned blood-letters, too. They're always passing-around their silly-phones, sharing pictures of bambies they've snuffed/dusted. Speaking of hobbies, among other things, I collect guns and knives. All the guys who hunt can't understand my interest in guns, esp. if I have no intention of killing an animal with 'em. I'm fascinated by firearms, because I admire, and love to handle and use, fine machinery. Maybe that's why I'm a mixer driver (heh-heh)?

Bye-the-way . . . little grammatical correction, here . . . I believe the terminology is "being drawned" for deer, elk, bear, big horn sheep, etc.

Re your question about computer being your number one hobby, or obsession. Think it was emphasized in the film "City Slickers," that it's up to every individual to discover THE ONE aspect of their lives that excites them most, and to focus on it in the pursuit of happiness and success. I truly believe in the undeniable fact that the happiest, most accomplished, most productive individuals, are those who understand that concept, and are blessed, every day, with the opportunity to pursue their passion (hobby, obsession, love, etc). Success is just a natural by-product of their endeavors.

Well, gotta go whistle with the birds, feed my elk some carrots, and scratch a bear on da belly! It was fun browsing yer site. Off to NEW concrete adventures with unknown pours at a distant plant, early AM tomorrow. Later . . .
